Jhanak 1 May 2026: Rishi brings Saanjhbati to his house, and his family gets happy seeing her after such a long time. Indumati warmly hugs her, while Putul says she is really glad to see her again. Indumati complains that Saanjhbati ignored all their calls, and Tanushri asks if she never missed them. Saanjhbati says she was busy with work, which is why she could not come to meet them. Dadabhai says she never even called after that incident, but Saanjhbati asks him not to bring up the past. She says she met Rishi by accident in the market, and he forcefully brought her there. While talking, she notices Aditi standing there.

Neelu introduces Saanjhbati to Aditi and explains that Saanjhbati’s marriage was once fixed with Ridhiman, but he suddenly left for abroad. Aditi politely says it is nice to meet her. Abhimanyu asks Saanjhbati how she has been, and she says she is fine. He says the whole family has felt empty since Ridhiman left, and he still hopes he will come back one day. Saanjhbati asks if he really still has hope.
Tanushri says she truly believes Ridhiman will return one day, but she still does not understand why he suddenly left for abroad. Saanjhbati says even she does not know because Ridhiman never contacted her. She asks them that if they ever speak to him, they should tell him she is not angry. She says even if he returns one day with a wife and children, she will not question him. She then asks Rishi if he ever tried to find Ridhiman, but Rishi says he cannot help in this matter. Putul says maybe they should just let Ridhiman live the life he chose.
Indumati asks Saanjhbati to visit them whenever she gets time, but Saanjhbati asks why she should be punished for loving Ridhiman. Indumati asks if meeting them feels like punishment. Saanjhbati says being there only brings back painful memories. Neelu asks why she never got married, and Saanjhbati replies that she has no interest in marriage anymore. Dadabhai asks why she stopped singing, and she says she still sings, just less than before. She also mentions that she has been invited to perform at Mishti’s college.
Tanushri asks what she would like to eat, but Saanjhbati says she does not want anything. Rishi tells her to stop all this and at least eat something. He admits he feels guilty because Ridhiman treated her badly. Aditi asks why he feels guilty. Rishi says Saanjhbati is a very special person to him because she supported both his family and Ridhiman so much, yet in the end, Ridhiman betrayed her. Dadabhai says he always tried to do what was right and promises he will question Ridhiman if he ever returns. Saanjhbati asks him not to blame Ridhiman anymore.
Aditi suddenly says it feels like the sons of this house have a habit of betraying people. Everyone goes silent, and Rishi looks at her.
Later, Rishi asks Aditi why she said that in front of Saanjhbati. Aditi says that is honestly how she feels because it is obvious he has feelings for Jhanak. Rishi says she never stops suspecting him and reminds her that he only went to the college as a police officer. Aditi reminds him that he also signed as Jhanak’s local guardian.
Rishi says he is tired of these accusations and insists he is not betraying her at all. Aditi says he keeps breaking his promises again and again. Rishi says now she is accusing all the men in his family and asks what if he starts accusing Aniruddh too.
Aditi tells him he knows Jhanak’s accusations against Aniruddh are wrong. She says Rishi’s actions are hurting her deeply, and she no longer knows when things between them will become normal again. Rishi asks her not to forget that she is his responsibility. Aditi asks if she is no longer his love and only his responsibility now.
Rishi says both mean the same thing, but Aditi directly asks him if he really loves her. Rishi goes silent because he cannot answer immediately. Aditi says his hesitation proves everything. Rishi finally tells her that yes, he loves her and admits that his actions created all these misunderstandings. Aditi quietly says it is too late now and tells him they should just sleep.
Rishi asks her not to assume things like that. Aditi says she is scared of losing him. Rishi softly replies, “Let’s sleep now.”
The next day, the freshers’ party begins at the college. The host announces the debate competition, and Mishti, Jhanak, and other students go up on stage. The topic is announced: “A woman can never match a man’s level.” The host asks each participant to speak for two minutes on the topic.
Mishti speaks first, followed by the other students. After everyone finishes, Jhanak walks forward and takes the mic in her hand.
